The latency in Android is about 100 ms. This is usually for players and other simple apps. But for music production software this latency is unacceptable. It means you won’t feel comfortable when using music apps in Android. Google recognized this mistake and set up 10 ms latency as a goal. Besides, they need to provide latency at the operating system’s level as well as give developers the ability to use this service.
